Lengthened Dress

At the end of the summer last year my daughter was given this dress.  It fit her around but it was too short, so I added a few inches of fabric on the bottom.  My daughter now wears it every week and loves it.

Colored Pudding

When we went grocery shopping this last week, I found this:

I thought that it would be fun to try with my daughter. 

It was fun to do, but next time I think that I will buy the normal pudding and just food coloring in it myself.  Then we can do all sorts of colors.

Handsome Onesie

I found a onesie on a few store websites that said "i'm handsome just like my dad"  I thought that they were cute.  I had an extra onesie that I had bought and couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted to put on it.  I knew that this is what I wanted to do.

I cut it out with the cricut on freezer paper, then ironed it onto the onesie.

Then I painted it and let it dry.

Storage Boxes

I made these boxes for this. 

I started out with these:

I then cut the flaps off:

I tried two different ways I did them, one with paper and modge podge; the other with paint.

Organizing the Front Closet

There is still a week left in the month don't forget the monthly cleaning goal for May.

I thought that I would show you one of the things that I cleaned this month.  We don't have an extra room so I choose to do the closets that don't normally get done.  The first one that I did was the front closet, it holds our coats and some of my crafting stuff and most of my sewing things.  I feel bad it started to take over and made it really hard to put coats in there.

 And after...It feels much better to me and I was able to get rid of the hanging organizer.

 I decorated some boxes (tutorial coming late this week) and put the stuff that was in the hanging organizer in them.

A lot more room on the floor as well.

Learning a little bit more about the past

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War.  There are many things that have been planned all around the country for it.  We live in a little town but it has a part of the civil war in it, there was a battle that happened right in the middle of the town.  This weekend we were able to enjoy their reenactment of the battle and time period.  It was tons of fun for all of us!!
